some thoughts

I've never been all that environmentally minded. I recycle half halfheartedly at best and until now used plastic bags, and bought plastic bottles without much thought. But I can't do that anymore. I'm not going to become environmentalist, but I'm going to be conscious of my decision from here on. No more plastic bags, and bottles again for me.

I wrote the first paragraph a long time ago. I had planed to let it sit a few days to see how it would go with me trying to be environmental. It's been tough. I bought a bunch of the Trader Joe shopping bags to use when I go shopping, and a brought my thermos and mug to work. It's still kind of shocking how hard it is to avoid plastic. Plastic, Styrofoam and other kinds of man made materials are nearly ubiquitous. I keep trying to lessen the amount of plastic I use, but it's very difficult to eliminate the use of them completely. The computer I'm typing this on is mostly some kind of plastic.

Here is another very untimely post. These are from the court's Christmas party. We put out a decent spread. I brough wings from Wildwood. They didn't get hot enough. But they were gone in no time. So I guess people liked them.

In my weekend Spanish class I went to pull my mobile broadband modem out, and didn't have it. Freaked out for twenty minutes until I remembered I hadn't brought it. This has happened too many times.
