What I did while the power was out

When the power went out in my building I got tacos. The first three pictures are from breakfast a the Grand Street Diner. The rest are from Los Hermanos. I got Chrizo. Yummy.

Take it to the Bridge

Went to Golden Bridge today with my dad. Very Good Stuff. It's the most frenetic dim sum atmosphere I've been in for a long time. Even than World Tong. In the hour we were their they sat one hundred and seventy five parties.

Sorry about the lack of posts. Just got my MacBook. Yeah. Got to say I love it. It looks and sounds sounds great. I suppose it's true that Macs are better for audio visual stuff. It's a real step up from my old dell. Here are some pictures. I'll try to get back to posting daily.

Beef Tacos from Jeronimo Restaurant



Guadalajara Restaurant. More Al Pastor Tacos. Seemed to have been cooked on a grill. The meat had a grilled pork kind of appearance, and flavor. Very tasty. Had two salsas to go with them. I used both. I had a hortacha with the tacos. One of my first times trying it. Tasty, but the texture seemed odd to me. Kind of grainy. I'll have to try it again before I decide how I feel about it.

Cakes

Matt was asked to review the new Nestle Chocolatier baking chocolate, and so we made some molten chocolate cakes. There were a few missteps in the process, nothing irreparable, but we only ended up with one nearly perfect specimen. We ate all the evidence. The chocolate is very classy. Clean, harmonious, and not overly sweet. It may lack the complexity of the truly top chocolate, but while I was eating the cakes I wasn't really all the concerned with that. Yummy. The low resolution pictures and videos don't do the product justice.

This is day two of my grilling on the bay, and unlike normal I am throwing caution to the wind and posting all of the pictures from the event. So far they have all been at least ok, and some have been better than that.

Holy Shit. I was a wreck by the end of the contest, and all I did was walk around and eat. I also took some pictures. I will post them over the course of the next few days. Not all a winners, but I hope you will get the flavor of the event.
